When you put a book up for sale on Amazon, you get seven keyword boxes. Amazon says that these boxes are “to help readers discover your book” but that isn’t a very good description of how we should use these boxes. We’re not trying to describe books, we’re trying to sell them.
This course will show you how to use the keywords boxes in a whole new way that focuses on sales, rather than description or search efficiency. We will also talk about how to go back and check how well your keywords are performing, so you can make changes and keep increasing your sales. You’ll see those keyword boxes in a new way by the end of this course, and you’ll probably realize that you have wasted most of that keyword space if you’ve published books already.
If this information is new to you, we highly recommend checking out our courses on writing descriptions, writing to market, cover design, and Amazon ads. Almost everyone is doing the same old things with those parts of their book sales funnel just like they do with keywords, but they are all a lot more important than your keyword boxes. And your keyword boxes don’t do you any good if your cover and description aren’t converting your visitors into sales!
