Catching the reader’s eye with a good cover is only the first step in converting their interest into a sale. You need a good description to finalize it.
Writing a book description is an art unto itself, but it is one that, with a little bit of help and confidence, all writers should be good at. It’s just telling a story, after all, albeit a very short one with a specific purpose. Because the thing to remember is that a book description has only one purpose: to turn a viewer into a buyer. No matter how much you like it, if it’s not doing that, it’s time to try a new one.
